Data Protection

We substantially advise and guide our clients in emerging legal issues around technology including data protection and privacy issues like data collection, retention, use and sharing. Our services and work include:

1. Compliance assessment where we classify Data to facilitate data mapping and identification of risks (including advising on the nature of personal data & sensitive data that is subject to the Data Protection Act.
   
2. Offer trainings to sensitize employees on data protection.
   
3. Advise clients on the technical and organizational measures to put in place to protect the privacy of data.
   
4. Assist clients in drafting/ customizing policies, retention schedules, privacy agreements and guidelines which act as remedial measures.
5. We assist clients to register with the Data Commissioner either as a data controller or data processer.
